Wintertime = turn off your sprinklers!
We have been living in unpredictable times with the COVID19 situation, and if being in isolation has got you in a blur of what day or month it is, here is a little reminder of one thing that always happens at this time of year.
It is time to set that reminder to turn off your automatic sprinkler and watering systems as at 1st June 2020. The Water Corporation applies a permanent ban on sprinklers for both scheme and bore water users as of 1st June through to 31st August each year and fines may be applicable.
The weather experts are predicting a particularly cold and wet winter this year and as we approach the cooler months the requirement for watering overall will be reduced anyway. However, if there are a few consistent days of unexpected warmer weather you may be required to hand water to keep the soil cool and hydrated until the next rains.
